Symposium EL04-Materials and Devices for Unconventional Computing
05.04.2027 (Monday) - 09.04.2027 (Friday)
, 09:00 - 09:00
Seattle Convention Center / Hyatt Regency Seattle , Seattle, USA
The 2027 MRS Spring Meeting will take place from 5 to 9 April 2027 in Seattle, USA.
Principal Investigator Stephan Menzel is co-organizing the "Symposium EL04-Materials and Devices for Unconventional Computing".
This symposium will explore the rapidly evolving field of materials and devices designed for unconventional computing paradigms. As traditional CMOS-based computing approaches face limitations in scalability, power efficiency, and adaptability, unconventional computing methods such as neuromorphic, probabilistic, quantum, and other emerging models are gaining significant attention.
This symposium aims to bring together researchers from materials science and related fields, including device engineering and computer science, to foster interdisciplinary discussions and drive the development of next-generation computing technologies. Contributions from both experimental and theoretical studies are encouraged.
Sessions will focus on innovative materials and their processing, novel device mechanisms and architectures, and integrated systems that enable these non-traditional computing paradigms.
